Racetrack Loudspeaker Application
A simplified flat TV was modelled to illustrate the low frequency behaviour of the racetrack loudspeaker in a front mounted situation.

Close-up of Loudspeaker Recess
For simplicity and to isolate the effects of acoustic diffraction around the body of the TV, the loudspeaker was modelled as a simple piston, which as we have seen for this loudspeaker, is only true to ~350Hz after which the cone "breaks-up" into complex structural modes.
